The Fishers of Men National Office has announced the dates and location of the 2011/2012 National Championship.
Fishers of Men is happy to announce that the 2011/2012 National Championship will be on April 12th, 13th, & 14th on Pickwick Lake in Florence Alabama.
Beth Agee of the Florence-Lauderdale Tourism Office said that the community was very pleased with the 2011 Legacy Championship which was held in June of this year, and that they are very excited about Fishers of Men returning for another championship in April.
The tournament water will be off limits to competitors from Monday, March 26th through Friday, April 6th. Then the competitors will have five official practice days; Saturday, April 7th through Wednesday, April 11th. As with all Fishers of Men championship tournaments, there will be a mandatory pretournament meeting on Wednesday evening and the competition days will follow. All of the qualified teams will be eligible to compete on Thursday, April 12th and Friday, April 13th. Then the top 20% of the field will compete on Saturday, April 14th for a brand new Skeeter Boat powered by a Yamaha Motor and the title of Fishers of Men National Champions.
