About This Division

Welcome to the NC East Legacy Series. The Fishers of Men Legacy Series is an exciting opportunity to create memories that will last a lifetime, and to fish competitively in a faith based, family oriented bass tournament. A divisional tournament event consists of a fishing tournament on Saturday preceded by a meeting on Friday evening. At the Friday meeting, anglers are treated to a meal, tournament details, and door prizes. But most importantly they will hear a gospel message that hopefully will speak to their heart and move them towards further commitment to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Hopefully, bonds between Father & Son, Daughter, or grown-up to a youth will be forged. As we read in Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Fifty points are added to each team’s standings for attending the meeting. The Legacy series teams will have an opportunity to fish in a national tournament in the summer against Legacy teams from all over the country.

2012 was a wonderful year and we had one rededication received. The tournaments were fun and the top team Gerald & Morgan Murray was challenged all the way. We are hoping that this year’s tournaments will be just as exciting.
2013 will see a few changes in schedule. This year we will be fishing three tournaments. All three will be in the spring time.
This will be my first year as Legacy director. I am looking foreward to this new position, as many of our angler's know, I have been behind the scenes with both Legacy and Team series. Don't worry Buck is still going to be with us, he will be helping with the weigh in's and meetings. I know that I have a "huge" pair of shoes to fill taking over for Buck. Buck loves the sport and loves & enjoys being with the kids so much. As many of you know Faye and myself has been involved in FOM ever since it came to Northeast NC. Please keep Faye and myself in your prayers as we move through this transition year.
I am looking forward to another great year of fun, fishing and fellowship.
