Welcome friends and brothers and sisters in Christ. The first tournament is under our belts and it was a great one at that! The Friday night meeting was held @ CrossOver Church in Moncks Corner and they served a delicious meal of Chicken and rice, Kentucky wonders green beans, rolls, brownies and drink. The youth at the church wanted to help serve and did a great job. CrossOver has held many a FOM tournament meeting out of their church but this was the first Legacy meeting, and boy were they blessed.
The message was brought by Legacy director Johnny Bihlear who is also the Associate Pastor at CrossOver. The message covered family values and the fathers role in the family and his influence on his childrens potential outcome in their walk with Christ and life.
The weather for Saturdays tournament couldn't have been better with calm waters and highs in the mid 80's.
We had 23 boats fish the event. If any of you visit Canal Lakes let Ray know we appreciated the use of his facility.
First place honors went to the team of Todd and Patrick Walters with a sack of 22.80 lbs. Second place went to Stanley Bruce and Tolman Burbage with a catch of 18.16 lbs. Rounding out the top three @ third place was Brad and Hagen Schindledecker. Big fish also went to the Walters team with a weight of 7.48 lbs. Second big fish was a tie between Keith Britt/Jessen Heber and Rudy Ritter/Daniel Tuten.
Thanks to all who made this event possible. We encourage a family atmosphere and would like to see the teams with their families at the Lake Murray event in May. Just give me a head count in advance. Spread the Word that Jesus loves you and the word of our next tournament! See you there...
