Lucas and Anderson Catch a Monster with 20 Minutes to go to Claim Points Champions and Win!
The Florida Central Legacy Division of the Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail hosted their fourth and final event of the season on the Kissimmee Chain in St Cloud, FL. We had 6 teams who blasted off to a warm, pleasant morning.
First place went to Kevin Lucas and Robert Anderson with a total weight of 17.36 lbs and Big Bass of 8.57 lbs which was caught with 20 minutes left to go in the tournament. Kevin and Robert fished on the North end of Lake Toho for their catch. Coming in second place was the team of Ron Lane and Jack Ehrhardt with 13.73 lbs. Second Big Bass was caught by Billy Charland which weighed 7.47 lbs. No trash fish were weighed in today.
Our Friday meeting was held at First Baptist Church of St Cloud. We are very grateful of their willingness to provide awesome meals for our anglers and their support for Fishers of Men over the years. A delicious meal of Spaghetti and meatballs was served. Pastor Jonathan Garon spoke from the first chapter of Colossians. A lot of times, we perceive the Bible or Christianity as a set of rules. We can’t get caught up in focusing on the rules, we need to focus on Jesus. If we do that, all of the “rules” come naturally and there’s an unexplainable peace that comes with Christ.
Our Points Champions this year are Kevin Lucas and Robert Anderson. Coming in a very close second were Ron Lane and Jack Ehrhardt. Big Bass honors for the year go to Kevin Lucas with his 8.57 lb monster on Toho. A special thanks to all who participated in our Legacy Division this year – we couldn’t do it without you. I am looking forward to 2013 so stay posted and I hope to see you on the water next year. The Legacy National Championship should be posted soon.
