The Legacy Series of the NC Piedmont officially started the 2012 season on Lake Norman on April 28. Anglers were warmly welcomed by Troutman Baptist Church located in Troutman, NC on Friday April 27 for a time of fellowship, meal and tournament information. Pastor Todd Bishop delivered an awesome message that gave everyone in attendance a chance to look at their life and refocus it towards Christ.

The early morning brought mild temps and light winds as all teams prepared to blast off from Stumpy Creek Access. The temperature slowly dropped throughout the day to a brisk afternoon.. Anglers weighed in over 98lb worth of largemouth and spotted Bass that afternoon. 1st place went to the team of Errol & Isa Duckett with 13.40lb.. 2nd went to the team of Mike Sides & Nathaniel Fulbright with 9.67lb. 3rd place went to Bo Russell & Cameron Andrews with 9.54lb. 4th place was awarded to the team of Tommy Jones & Cooper Grubb weight in with 8.46lb.
