The 2024 regular season came to a close Saturday afternoon at Philpott Lake.
The weekend Started with our Friday evening meeting at First Baptist Church of Collinsville. We always have a great time There and we appreciate all they do to make us at home! The meal was BBQ with all the fixings and home made Brownies! What a great meal and time we had.
Saturday morning we blasted off before 6am on a beautiful but warm morning. The fishing was tough but some teams found some good fish in the hot weather.
At the end of the tournament the team of Chris Atkins and Matt Foster brought back the winning bag with 15.29. They also won the points championship for the regular season and an automatic bid to the national championship next year! Finishing in 2nd with a bag of 14.52 was the team of Dwain Bever and Lacy Burnett In third place with a bag of 13.79 was the team of Jason Lee and AJ Smith In fourth was the team of Thomas Lythgoe and Taylor Watts with a bag of 13.6. Finishing in fifth was the team of Tony Walker and Shaun Hunter with 10.27.
We had a total of 60 teams fish with us this year. We had a great year and would like to thank everyone that helped make this such wonderful tournament trail to fish.
