29 Boats competed in our 4th 2024 SC Upstate event on Lake Greenwood.
There is nothing like a Friday evening Fishers of Men meeting ON the lake. There is just something special about having a meal with all our anglers while sitting outside with a view over the water.
Many thanks to Darren Rood and Belview Bapstist for hosting our event at Disciples Trail. It was a great experience. Jason, with Big Boy's BBQ provided a delicious meal. These guys really knocked it out of the park!!
Darren brought a message aout Rehoboam and how he was foolish and chose to over tax the people, and didn't listen to the older advisors or his father. He sold the gold shields in the sanctuary to pay them off to avoid war. Then he tried to replace the gold shields with bronze ones so that no one knew "the glory had departed". The reality is that Hell will be full of "polished brass" people living double lives. Darren encouraged us to check up on our lives and "BE REAL". The recognition that we need to have understanding of living the life of acultural Christian can have a huge impact on us and those around us. Jesus sacrifice was for us, not to only be recognized when it is convenient, but to allow his presence in our live to CHANGE us. Have you had that 'mment' in your life that you surrendered to him? What are you waiting for?

Saturday morning was a cozy 64 degrees and calm. The skies then cleared for a warm SC day on the lake. The fishing was tough, but someone always figures out a little something.
Congrats to Greg and Gerald Glouse with a 17.82 lb sack and the win. This one squeaqed them into the 1st place Points spot. One more event to determine if they can hold on.
Big Fish was 7.2.6 lbs cought by Stephen Sprouse and James Laney.
I also want to give a big SHOUT OUT to my team of volunteers: Donna, Christie, Jewels, Bella, Luke, Adam, Steve, and Lisa. What a blessing to have such great friends who share in having a servant's heart.
