Friday night we had a great meal of pulled pork, baked beans, slaw, and a spread of desserts. Everyone was satisfied and happy. After dinner the director shared how he was drawn by God to Fishers of Men and what his life was like before he Dave his life to Jesus. Then the message from Isaiah 53 was shared about the One who would take our iniquities and our transgressions upon himself. Then the law of Moses was shared and the good news of what Jesus did on that cross. We broke the law and Jesus paid the fine. Three anglers rededicated their life to Jesus.  The Bible says their is more rejoicing in heaven over one person who repents than a thousand righteous people.

Saturday the temps were in the 60's with winds at 14mph at launch. Twenty five teams set out to see if the fish were ready to play. Throughout the day the wind speeds climbed into the 20's and around 2pm the winds were sustained at  25 and gusting to 30. One by one they were loaded onto the trailers and everyone made it in safe. Early in the weigh in teams were only weighing in 1-3 fish and most struggled with the winds and the bite. Finally a limit hit the scales by the team of Jerry Turner and Tony Gambiani with 12.28 lbs finishing in 4th Place. Then came another limit of 15.02 lbs weighed in by husband and wife team of Brian and Lauri Lopp ear if them 3rd Placd honors. 2nd Place with 15.34lbs and the Big Bass of the event was the team of Brandt Sjuts and Cameron Cokley. Then with the big bag of the tourney was last years points champs Herb Rush and Zach Pierce with 16.85lbs. They received First Place plaques to commentate their win along with $1,330.00 plus First place in Bonis Bucks. Congratulations to Herb and Zach as they are leading the points race again in 2022.
