It was 97 degrees with a heat index at 109 for the 6:00 take off for the 7th event of the West Boggs Division of the Firefly Marine Weeknight Series.
The team of Jeremy Knepp and BJ Worland were able to battle the heat and bring in a 3 fish limit weighing 12.02lb to take the win. They also had the biggest fish of the night at 4.69.
Brian Rusher and Jeff Zuder took home the 2nd place money when they weighed their limit in at 10.04lb.
Gary and Nate Higgins are still holding on to the season points lead by a slim margin with Ron and Sam Maxwell gaining on them. With 3 tournaments left on the schedule, the points race is looking like it's going to be a close one.
