Friday Night Meeting was at First Baptist Dandridge Church. Cory Hammett provided the anglers with great meal of hamburgers and all the fixings. After everyone had eaten, Ronny Jones delivered a great message where we had one rededication to the Lord.
Saturday morning the Fishers of Men gang awoke to partly cloudy skies 32-degree air temperature and snow blowing in the wind, which mad for a cold and interesting day to fish.
First place Ameriprise Award went to the team of Bill Humbard and J C Loveday but due to the cold J C decided to let Bill fish by himself. Bill came to the scales with a limit of bass.
weighing in at 13.54 pounds which also included lunker a 4.28-pound bass which ended up being a tie with the Stewards. Bill reported running his White Pine Marine Mercury Powered Bass Boat around the lower end of Cherokee lake to catch his fish on a swimbait, but the big bass was caught on a crankbait. He fished as shallow as 3 feet down to 20 feet.
Second place went to the Father and Son team of Donny and Travis Wormsley with 12.18 pounds. Donny reported that they caught their fish on a small swimbait in the deeper water. This team ran their Mercury powered boat around on the lower end of the lake to catch their fish from the clear water of Cherokee Lake.
Third place went to the seasoned team of Rod Garrett and Paul Rogers with 11.90 pounds of bass. Rod reported that they did not have many bites but the bites they had were good one. This team fished in water less than 5 feet deep all day.
