Watts Bar is alive and Well!!
The second Fishers of Men Tournament was held at New Midway Baptist Church. This church family alway does a great job of providing the anglers with an awesome meal. After a great meal the New Midway Praise Band played some great songs of praise and worship. Next Doctor Ronny Jones delivered a message that had people looking at their walk with the Lord and we had one person rededicate their life to the Lord.
Saturday morning came with overcast skies light mist and cool temperatures to make for an interesting day to fish. As always some one figures the bass out and this day it was Ryan Armes how came to the scales with a heavy bag of fish weighing 16.16 Pounds. Ryan reported catching a limit early in the day flipping wood culling through over ten keepers to make the winning bag. He wanted to thank A1 Tactical Outdoors.
Brian Scates and Stanley McLemore who came to the scales with a mixed bag of largemouth and smallmouth that hit the scales at 15.3 pounds of bass to secure a second place finish. This talented team reported running their Mercury powered bass boat all over beautiful Watts Bar Lake to catch their fish. Brian reported catching fish early in the morning on many different lures including crank bait, A-rig and swim-bait.
Ronny Jones and Bailey Fain came in with 15.2 bass which also included the big fish of the tournament a beautiful 5.27 bass. Dr Jones reported catching fish on crank bait and A-rig off rocky bluffs. This team ran the Mercury powered boat around the upper limits of Watts Bar Lake to catch their fish.
