Results from the Tyler Ford Open
Sixty four teams fished Lake Tyler 9/27/2008 for our 3rd Annual Tyler Ford Open. It was a beautiful day to fish with calm winds and plenty of sunshine. Lake Tyler usually gives up plenty of 20 lb. sacks this time of year, but for some reason the lake was very stingy for our anglers and we had 22 teams to blank. This is very rare. We only had 11 teams to bring in a 5 fish limit. Jonathan Bradshaw & Jeff Jones fished a combination of soft plastics to bring in the winning catch of 16.05 lbs. They won $1603.00. Coming in 2nd were Ben Barnette & Kelvin Russell with 15.72 lbs They also had Big Bass that weighed 6.80 lbs. They won $1338.00. As we had advertised the person who had the Big Bass of the tournament had a chance to win a $25,000.00, 2008 Ford Truck from Tyler Ford, a 2008 Triton Bass Boat from H&W Marine, or a 2008 RV from HWY 31 RV Sales. Ben & Kelvin had stated if the last 2 digits of their Big Bass matched the predetermined numbers in the sealed enveloped, they would take the RV from HWY 31 RV Sales. As we waited with anticipation-------We were looking for .80------the winning numbers were ---.81. Wow! They missed by 1/100 of an ounce. Everybody wanted them to win.

4th place; Greg Fleming & Rick Turner 14.05 lbs
5th place; Glen & Stuart Irwin - 13.42 lbs; They also had 2nd big bass 6.39 lbs
6th place; Blake Morphew & Ronnie Kelley 12.19 lbs
7th place; Mike Ware & Jerry Oden 12.18 lbs
8th place; Cameron Frowick & Dustin Edmiston 12.14 lbs
9th place; Tom Ward & Garry Winton 11.93 lbs
10th place; Bill & Kyle Hays 11.86 lbs
11th place; Scott Burns & Nathan Venable 10.54lbs
12th place; Eric Leuschner 10.17 lbs
13th place; David George & Jon Stains - 10.02 lbs
