RODMAN RAISES THE BAR!

Temperatures elevated into the mid 90's for the seventeen boats Saturday and by the end of the day some anglers had fished through three afternoon showers. When the scales were closed every team had managed to weighed in fish. As the fish came to the scales we saw fish that weighing 6.59, 7.42, as well as a 8.33, and yet this would still not be the Big Fish for the day. When you catch over sixteen pounds of fish and can't collect a check then you know that there were quality fish in the top three. Our University of Florida collegiate team of Jake Gipson and Andy Adkins tipped the scales with a total weight of 17.55 weighing there Big Fish of 6.59. Jake and Andy fish Florida North but his NCAA Collegiate partner fishes with Michael Gipson which is Jake's father. The ever consistent team of McDevitt and Linsey weighed in a total weight of 23.98 with their Big Fish tipping the scales @ 8.33. This seemed to be the winners going into the last few anglers weighing in. But despite having motor problems and not being able to idle but rather get their Ranger Bass boat up on plane or either be dead in the water, it was the new team of James Hatch and Dean Jackson collecting the top prize and three checks by weighing in an impressive weight of 25.84 with their Big Fish weighing a massive 10.88. Thanks so much for Danny East and his family for visiting and helping with the weigh in. State tournament will be held in Deland Florida @ Ed Stone Park on June 19, 2010.
