31 TEAMS TIED FOR 4TH PLACE.
First of all, let us extend a heartfelt thank you to the members of Marshall Memorial Baptist Church. The brotherhood put together a fine meal of BBQ and trimmings. After we ate a bait of food, we enjoyed some music from members of the church. Brother Terry Richardson, pastor of Marshall Memorial, gave us our inspirational message concerning our LATERAL LINES.
A tough start to a great season, as Saturday morning kicked off our 2010 angling season, the weather played a serious factor in teams catching fish. We had 34 brave teams take to the water in search of a hungry fish and search they had to do. Blast off was a chilly 36 degrees. By day's end, there were three teams who managed to boat a fish a piece in the muddy waters of Lake Oconee. Weather temperatures had risen, but the amount of fish had not. With cold hands and broken down spirits, we all were reminded that the season points were only separated by three. It is still anybody's championship to win. We look forward to our next event at Lake Lanier. Hopefully, the weather will work in our favor, see you there!!
