Lake Lanier Results: Feb 27, 2010

As the sun rose on us Saturday, anglers were not excited about venturing into the water. Many were sitting in their vehicles trying to pump more heat into their bodies. That would prove necessary, blast off temperature was a chilly 27 degrees. By days end, the temp would warm to only 48 with a steady wind. Many anglers managed to catch a few fish. Leading the way was the team of Sowash/Robertson, they brought a sack of fish weighing 12.54 lbs. Second place was Keith/Gooch with 10.95 lbs. Finishing third was Hardy/Goldman bringing 10.26 lbs to the scales, with a 4.56 lb big fish. You might ask what second big fish was? I am glad you asked, the team of Kevin and Konnor Sanders caught a 4.48 lb big bass to excite the little one.

Many thanks are in order to the brotherhood of Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church. The food was excellent as usual, the menu consisted of a breakfast eatery; sausage, bacon, smoke links, biscuits, eggs, cheese eggs, grits, cheese grits, gravy, and even fruit of cantalope and grapes. After being blessed by music through Stanley Pierce and Eddie Owens, Preacher Rice gave us our inspirational message. The thought for the evening was who are you fishing for and trying to reach.

A special thanks goes to Rich and Jim with laniermapped.com Be sure to check out their website to see if you made the video with your catch.

Come join us at our third event on Lake Russell out of Shuck Penn Eddy for what I am sure will be better fishing.
