A BEAUTIFUL DAY TO BE OUTDOORS IN GODS GREAT CREATION

Thomaston Baptist Church did a wonderful job again this year. We appreciate it so much for what Ms. Camilla Jordan, her husband and Pastor Randall Mims do each year. They served us ham, and bar-b-que with bread beans and potato salad. For desert we had pound cake with fresh strawberries. It should have been a sin it was so good, and probably was because some of us were gluttons. Thank you so much for a wonderful night of fellowship. Brother Randall spoke to us about God knocking at the door in Revelation. We don’t need to put it off as we never know what may come after he knocks and we don’t answer. We may only have the one choice and if we make the wrong choice we may have to live with the consequences through eternity. We all need to take what he said seriously as none of us know what will come tomorrow. We had 22 boats to fish on Saturday and all 22 were represented at the meeting on Friday night. We had no professions of faith and there were no rededications. Saturday morning came early and was starting out to be a beautiful day. Safe light came without any delays and official time was called at 5:30AM. Other than some muddy water and a breeze at times that felt really good it was a great day to be Outdoors In Gods Great Creation. We had 20 limits brought to the scales Saturday. There were 104 fish weighed in that weighed a total of 215.16 Lbs. Congratulations to the team of Kyle Ferguson and Rodney Hicks. They brought in 5 fish that weighed 13.06 lbs. to take first place. Kyle and Rodney are sponsored by Brooks Chevrolet in Thomasville, AL. They caught their fish on frogs, spinner baits, crankbaits, and shakey heads. Their fish came from deep and shallow. Congratulations to Sammy Thomas and Lavon White. They took second place with 5 fish that weighed 12.48 Lbs. Their fish came on Spot Stickers and caught one fish on a frog. Congratulations to Brian and Kim Moye. They weighed in 5 fish that weighed 11.89 Lbs. to take third place. Their fish came on frogs and a swimming jig. Congratulations to Rich Cornelius and Steve Graham. They weighed in 5 fish that weighed 11.77 to take fourth place. Their fish came on frogs. Congratulations to Tony Boyette and Ron Fairbanks. They weighed in the first big fish. It weighed 4.50 Lbs. It hit a horny toad frog. Congratulations to Billy Brewer and Daryl Few. They weighed in the second big fish. It weighed 4.42 Lbs. Our next event is this weekend on Claiborne Lake in Monroeville, AL. It is our last Legacy event for 2010. The Friday night meeting is being hosted again this year by First Baptist Church in Monroeville, Al. Sharon and I will try to be at the church around 5:00PM to start checking people in and take any entries that have not been mailed in. If you are interested in fishing this weekends Legacy event and are just now finding out about us you can pay at the meeting Friday night. NO ENTRIES ARE TAKEN THE MORNING OF THE TOURNAMENT. If you have seen the brochure you will find it written in red ink. Our next team trail event will be hosted by Prattmont Baptist Church in Prattville, AL.
