Saturday, July 17th was the fifth and final tournament for the 2010 season of the VA East Division of Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail. The tournament conditions included 85 degrees and HOT at blast-off and the temperatures reached a hot and humid 98 degrees at weigh in.
The pre-tournament meeting included food, fun and fellowship in an uplifting environment. 180 fishermen and family members attended the meeting, where they were served complimentary and delicious meals including Popeye’s Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes, red beans and rice and cookies for dessert. Michelle Hancock and Just Us provided incredible music and entertainment for the anglers and their families. The night’s moving message was brought to us by Frank Hollis. Frank attended our ‘09 event and asked if he could speak at our next event. We agreed, however Frank was called home to be with the Lord shortly after our event last year. Frank’s family shared Frank’s video testimony with all in attendance. Frank’s message was moving and heartfelt and we are so blessed that the Hollis family shared such an incredible testimony with us. The Lord touched many hearts that evening with 9 in attendance making a redidication to Christ I want to thank the entire Ft. Lee Baptist Church, Candice Camp, Neal Atkinson, Becky, Xan and Tori Callaway, Beverly and Kevin Bartlett and Thomas Edmunds for making this event a success. Many hands helped make this event a huge success!
