Logan Martin Results: May 15, 2010
We kicked off our 4th team series event on Logan Martin Lake with a great meal and meeting at the Pell City Civic Center. One of our own fishermen Mark Martin shared a great message centered around the angels involvement in God releasing Peter from jail. Mark had everyone in the room take one shoe off as he started his message and then began what I consider to be the best message that I have ever heard at one of our Fishers of Men events. As Mark was finishing his message, Peter and the angel had passed through all of the gates miraculously unseen by any of the guards and the angel told Peter to "put on his shoes and go"! Mark then told us to put on our shoes and go do our part and let God show up and do the "Exceedingly Abuntant" things that HE does when his people do their part. Thanks Mark!! I thank God for you!!
30 Teams entered the event and 27 of them brought 5 fish to the scales at the end of the day. After all the fish were weighed the teams of Mark Martin and Michael Gibson and Ronnie Handley and Brian Smith were tied for first place with 16.14lbs of Logan Martin Lake bass each. Handley and Smith also had 1st big fish and took home 1192.50 for their 1st place finish and Martin and Gibson took home 1012.50 for also finishing in the 1st place tie.
