The Northern Illinois Division started their season on Friday April 16th with six boats in attendance. We had a great message given by Mike Sanders speaking on having confidence in Jesus Christ just like we have in our favorite lure. Also in attendance was Bill Cochenspargen the Midwest regional director, it was a great pleasure to meet him. Numerous prizes were given away. Mark Thompson won a $50 gift certificate from Dolphin Carwash. Jim Kachel and Cory Stuart won a Plano Tackle box that was donated by Christian Life Assembly.
Saturday morning was a bit frosty following a cold front that moved in after we had two wonderful days in the mid 80's. The day proved to be a great day of fishing with 4 of the 6 boats weighing in fish.
First Place with 5 fish weighing in at 9 lbs 14 oz was Ryan Boswell and Lee St. Aubin with total earning of $540.
Second Place with 4 fish weighing in at 7 lbs 9 oz was Greg Olsen and Jerry Olsen. Also received Big Bass 2 lb 12 oz small mouth and awarded $36.oo amd 2 $50 Big Bear Rod Gift Certificate and a a $25 gift card for Strictly Fishing.
Third Place with 5 fish weighing in at 6 lbs 4 oz was Dave Schultz and Gabryelle Schultz.
Fourth Place with 3 fish weighing in at 4 lbs 15 oz was Justin Romines and Cory Stuart.
