Friday evening the Northern Illinois Division had its fourth meeting of the year with Bob Walker as our guest speaker. Bobs message reminded us that even though the fish we catch are not all keepers to us, we are all keepers to God. We enjoyed an amazing meal prepared by Doug and Karen Almon.
Saturdays fishing tournament began at safe light about 5:30 am. The weather turned extremly hot around 8:00 am which made the day of fishing difficult for our anglers.
Only two of the five boats brought in their limits and the size of the fish were not as expected.
First Place was Greg and Jerry Olsen with 8lbs 10oz, they also had big bass of 3lbs 5oz. Second Place went to Joe Sanders and Adam Markewicz with a total weight of 6lbs 10z. Third Place was David and Gabryelle Schultz with a total weight of 5lbs 9oz. Fourth Place was Neil and Justin Romines with a total weight of 4lbs 5oz.
We want to thank all of our anglers for coming out in the extreme heat. Also we would like to thank all of volunteers who give up their Saturdays to make our tournaments possible. Our last tournament of the year will be on September 11th.
