Millwood Lake Results: Feb 27, 2010
February 26 2010, Things got off slow Friday night as this is my first year to direct a division for Fishers of Men. Althought I have been fishing for years being on both sides of the scales, I was a little afraid of things but with help from the fishermen, some of the best guys around, and knowing that there is a great staff at FOMNTT things went smooth. Cory Calicott, a youth pastor from Redwater First Baptist Church in Redwater Tx, made a real impression on some of the fisherman as he spoke of Jesus in Luke ch5 v1-11. He talked of fisherman having fished with no luck and Jesus just pushed out into deep water and let down their nets and caught fish that filled many boats. We need to fish as hard on land as we do on water. I would like to thank Kenneth McMellon, Cory Callicott, Lane Peeples, Nash First Baptist Church, and the women who brought desert, for a good meal and a place to meet. Saturdays tournament started cold but sunny with eleven teams on Millwood Lake. I had to change lakes from Wright Patman Lake to Millwood Lake (after calling ALL teams) because of high water. Fishing was slow to start with only ten fish being weighed in as the scales closed. The count goes like this - 1st place Kenneth McMellon & Doug Rochelle 3 fish @ 10.74, 2nd place & BB John Cox & Royce Hickson 1 fish @ 5.96, 3rd place James Jones & James Beaird 2 fish @ 5.02, 4th place & 2nd BB Kurtis & Kenneth Sutley, 5th place Paul & Jonathan Hooker 1 fish @ 4.52. All in all we had a good tournament. Remember next month we are on Wright Patman Lake ramp #3. GOD BLESS DOUG
