The second tournament of the East Kentucky Division was greeted by great weather on Easter weekend. The 12 teams present during the meeting on Friday April 2nd at the Country Music Highway Museum in Paintsville enjoyed a meal of grilled burgers, hotdogs and various snacks provided by Mealey Freewill Baptist Church.
Thanks to the Paintsville Tourism Committee and Country Music Highway Museum for the use of the beautiful facility. And Bob Hutchinson of East KY McDonalds for picking up the fee for our time spent there.
Pastor Greg Coleman shared his testimony and brought the message. Greg spoke about challenges and changes we each face. He also presented a challenge for us all to evaluate ourselves and our relationship with the Lord.
Saturday morning started off great and as the fishing tournament began the wild turkeys could be heard gobbling in the background. We were blessed with all ten teams from our first event present along with two new teams joining for this second tournament. High winds late in the day made fishing difficult but the sun would stay out all day.
As the teams weighed in they were treated to a double cheese burger and apple pie from the folks at East Kentucky McDonalds which they quickly enjoyed after a long day on the water. We really appreciate everyone who came out and participated in the event and we look forward to seeing you at Herrington Lake next month. Be sure to get your entries in 8 days prior to the event to avoid late fee.

Results for the event were as follows:
First place the team of Jason Rice and Darrin Rice with 5.58.
Second place the team of Mike Castle and Ben Cox with 3.73.
Big fish first place was won by Johnny Webb with 3.72.
Big fish second place was won by Clayton McNew with 3.65.
