After a cancelled tournament at Herrington due to flood waters, East Kentucky Division was greeted by warm weather on June 19th for the third tournament of the year at Cave Run. Eight teams were represented during the meeting on Friday June 18th and were greeted with homemade barbeque, slaw, clips and deserts at the Salt Lick First Church of God. We want to express our appreciation to the entire congregation for the hospitality and efforts to provide a meeting place for us after having to deal with flood waters in the church facility.

Pastor Vernon Lambert brought the message after we enjoyed beautiful songs from three special singers. Pastor Vernon delivered a stirring message about Peter’s denial of Christ and how Christ knew and saw the denial. When Peter denied Christ the third time how Jesus’s eyes were upon Peter. Which reminds us all we are His children and He is watching us and watching out for us.

Saturday morning started off cloudy and warm as the nine teams present began the fishing day. The day brought clouds, rain, and clearing skies and hot sun as weigh in time approached.

As the teams weighed in they were treated to a refreshing bottle of water or a soft drink. We really appreciate everyone who came out and participated in the event and we look forward to seeing you at Ohio River next month. Be sure to get your entries in 8 days prior to the event to avoid late fee.
