Lake Rousseau Results: Jul 17, 2010

Lake Rousseau has produced several Big Fish over the years and so it was with great expectation that this year would be no different. The challenged was this tournament had been moved down in the original schedule due to high water levels on the Suwannee River earlier in the season. As any angler will note, certain lakes produce bigger fish at certain times of the year. To compound matters on Lake Rousseau, some of the locals informed us that the Corp of Engineers had been spraying the lake to reduce the amount of hyrdrilla. This in itself seems to be the reason for the results of the tournament being different from previous years coupled with the schedule change. When the scales opened at 2:00 the ususal anglers were nowhere to be found which at first indicated that fish were being caught. One by one anglers began coming in around 2:30 and when the scales closed shortly around 3:30 it was the team of Keith Butts and David Graham topping the scales with a total weight of 16.85. Butts and Graham also collected the check for the second Big Fish of the day with a weight of 4.86. Second place went to the ever consistent team of Dusty McDevitt and Wayne Lindsey with a total weight of 13.73. Suprisingly enough, McDevitt and Lindsey did not weigh in a Big Fish. Third place was collected by the Central now Florida Division team of Danny Mosley and Matt Touri with a total weight of 14.07 despite having a penalty of .50. Mosley and Touri also collected the check for Big Fish of the the day weighing in at the scary weight of 6.66 WHOA!!!!!

This tournament will end my regime as director for Florida North. I would like to say to all the leadership above me that it has been a great experience for me to serve in this capacity and I can't thank all of you enough for your patience and assistance along the way. To the Florida North Division I have been blessed to be a servant in this role and look forward to competing against you next year as well as all the new teams. Jon Rogers will be taking the reigns in the next several months and there is no question that he will take the Florida North Division to the next level.

Again, it has been my pleasure to be affiliated with such a fantastic organization as Fishers of Men.

May God continue to bless Florida North and Fishers of Men divisions across these great United States.

Bass Wishes!

Nick
