ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY TO BE OUTDOORS IN GODS GREAT CREATION
Alabama South held their Open tournament as planned on August 21, 2010. The Lord blessed us with a record breaking 37 boats. This is the largest tournament that Alabama South has had since it began. Of those 37 boats around 15 of those boats had never fished in a Fishers of Men Tournament. There were 23 boats that weighed in fish. Of those 19 boats had 5 fish limits. There were a total of 109 fish weighed in that weighed a total of 203.77 Lbs. Congratulations to the team of Sammy Thomas and Lavon White. They fish the Alabama South Team trail division. They weighed in 5 fish that weighed 14.87 Lbs. Congratulations to Leon and Trey Wade, a father and son team that fishes our Legacy trail. They weighed in 5 fish that weighed 14.00 Lbs to take second place. Congratulations to Rickie Knight and Randall Carter. They weighed in 5 fish that weighed 12.19 Lbs. to take third place. The first big fish was weighed in by the team of Jeff Evans and Jerrel madden. It weighed 5.14 lbs. The second big fish was weighed in by the team of Dale Westmoreland and Lance Youngblood. It weighed 4.88 Lbs. For our door prizes on Saturday we want to thank BASS for the items they sent to us to give away. We also want to thank our new sponsor for 2011, Ray Trotter at Trotter Marine. Ray brought us 2 Skeet Reese rods to give away. Ray we really appreciate your generosity and are looking forward to 2011 and having you come on board as a new Alabama South Sponsor.
