Lake Verret Results: Apr 16, 2011
What a great day in South Louisiana!! We just finished up our Lake Verret Tournament and it was a success.
Thanks to all of our Anglers who make this the best Tournament Trail in the country.
We kicked off our Friday night meeting with a meal of Shrimp and Catfish po-boys. Quintin Brakebill gave a message about remembering the places where God met you. Using the lives of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and how they would build altars and name the places where God had revealed Himself. Then challenged them to make that committment to know God and make an altar in their life.
We had a field of 15 boats at blast off Saturday morning.
The weather was good except for the wind which kept up all day. Not to worry though, Phil Mazzaroppi and Bob Burley came in with a winng bag of 5 fish and 1st place Big Fish:
3.90 Big Fish and 14.14 total weight. A well deserved win, CONGRATULATIONS!!
Second place went to Will Courtney and Bobby Fowler, also 2nd place Big Fish: 3.23 Big Fish and 12.73 total weight.
Great to see Will and Bobby back on their game (a warning to the rest of the division).
Third place went to Craig Walker and Brent Bonadona. They brought in 5 good looking fish totaling 11.80. They always keep the pressure on, great day guys!
I am looking forward to a great tournament in May. This will be the last for our 2011 division season.
