Pearl River Results: May 12, 2012
It was a great weekend for the South MS Division to end the season. The Friday night meeting was hosted by Campground Baptist Church and had a wonderful meal to start the night off. Brother Brian delivered a touching message and then headed into the meeting. Gave away a lot of prizes including a custom made knife, a turkey fryer, a BBQ grill and a fishing pole. Thanks to everyone that made it possible to give away these prizes.
Tour morning was overcast and a falling tide which usually makes it great for tidal water fishing. Even though every angler didn't catch them, a day on the water was still great. Weigh in started and it seemed that the tour was going to be tight untill Jason Griffin and Phillip Tapp headed to the scales. With a lunker of 4.37 that would boost there sack to a comfortable 10.04 and well in the lead. Well, not untill our points leaders made there way to the scales. With a nice 3.62 kicker, Skipper Smith and Chuck Smith would weigh in 5 fish that totals 11.48 and would not only take home the win but would also capture the points champion title for the South MS Division. A year well done guys.
Thanks to all the anglers that made this year a great kick off for Fishers of Men back on the MS Gulf Coast. We had some really good fellowship and some awesome meals. I hope that everyone had a great time and look forward to making the series better next year. Hope to see everyone back and I hope you have many blessing over the summer.
