It was an incredible day on Harris where we had 6 Bass brought to the scales that weighed 8 lbs or more with 2 of them tipping the scales at 9+ lbs.
Our tournament weekend started the evening of the 27th at Adventure Christian Church where we had a great time fellowshipping. Pastor Tom Hycuff spoke to us out of the Book of Luke, on how insignificant the things of this world are compared to having a personal relationship with Jesus, because in the end that’s all that will ever matter. Thanks Tom for the awesome message. We would also like to thank Adventure Christian Church for opening their doors and for the wonderful dinner.
As I said earlier, the day on the water was incredible and I don’t think we expected anything less, knowing that we have the Best of the Best Bass Fishermen fishing with us. We launched the 33 teams at approximately 7:00 Saturday morning, which by the way was absolutely beautiful.
Our first place winners were Neil Davis and Don Fisher who brought to the scales 27.64lbs. they had a payday of $1,328.50, which was not a bad day at the office. They stayed in Harris and caught two of their fish site fishing and the rest came from a Rattle Trap.
Coming in at 2nd was the father and son team of Dan and Jeremy Smith with an impressive weight of 25.39. Jeremy did say they brought a 10 pounder to the boat, but unfortunately she was foul hooked, so the fish had to be released. That’s fishing for you. They ran to Lake Griffin and the River where they used a jerk bait in 3 to 4 feet of water. They also were site fishing in the pads using junebug senko.
The team of Don Biddle and Wayne Swindle took 3rd with an impressive weight of 23.63 with one over 8lbs.
Coming in 4th was the team of Keith Carson and John Cox with 22.76 and they too had one over 8 lbs.
Our 5th place finishers are the team of Jeff Worth and Blaine Partee who tipped the scales with a total weight of 22.65, and they also had one over 8lbs.
Coming in at 6th was John Wayne who fished solo, his partner Rodney had to work, but that did not stop John who bagged 20.30lbs. Now that’s impressive.
As for Big Fish it was the team of Nathan Thomas and Tim Miller that weighed in one at 9.45lbs and she was a beauty. This fish took their total weight to 20.20lbs for the day.
Our second Big Bass for the day weighed in at 9.36 caught by the team of Jimmy Anderson and Mike Tucker.
Our Male/Female Team Leader is Billy and Anastasia Taylor, and our Audult/Junior Team Leader is Vincent and Domenic Dellolio.
