Faith Baptist Church in Kissimmee welcomed us for the Friday evening meeting and dinner, and I must say that Derrick and his helpers once again served a delicious dinner. The food was absolutely wonderful.

After the meal Ryan Pantaleo shared an awesome message. He asked that we take a good look at our priorities, and if we were putting things of this world before God. He read from the Book of Isaiah; which states, “there is no other God and we should not be afraid”. He also made it clear that it’s never too late to fix things in your life, but you must give it completely to God first. This is your life, so are you who you want to be, or better yet, who God wants you to be. Thank you Ryan for sharing the Word.

We finished the meeting by giving away some nice prizes; such as, Deka Battery, Deep South Fishing Rod, hard and soft baits from Bass Pro, Rod Stand, Gatorland tickets and a Jimmy Houston Video. I must say the video works, because John Brazzell and Josh Davis, who won the video, took 1st with an impressive weight of 27.31, so they must have learned something from watching it the night before.
Nice Job John and Josh.

We were blessed with a beautiful day that at first sounded as if we were going to be dealing with wind and rain. We did have the wind, but the rain held off until after the weigh-in. This was our 4th Tournament for the season which was held on West Lake Toho (Lake Front Park) on Saturday April 21st.

Congratulations to John Brazzell and Josh Davis for tipping the scales with 27.31 lbs. What an awesome bag. Their 5-fish limit won them not only the 1st Place Check, but also the optional 1st Place Bonus Bucks, which all totaled earned them over $1000.00 in prize money. They were in Kissimmee throwing magnum speed worms in 3 ft of water.

Coming in 2nd was the team of Cody Trenary and Mikey Sikes who weighed in an impressive weight of 21.11 lbs. They brought their 5 fish limit in from Cypress fishing the naked swimmer.

Coming in 3rd was the father and son team of Dan and Jeremy Smith who brought 5 fish to the scales weighing a total of 18.91 lbs.

Glenn Key and Dave Underwood took 4th Place, with a limit of 5 fish that weighed 15.91 lbs.

Finishing 5th place was the team of Matt Gurgacz and Chris Nichols with 15.13 lbs. They also had 1st place Big Bass weighing in at an impressive weight of 8.65 lbs.

Steve Rust and Anna Willis came in 1st in our Male and Female division with 5 fish that weighed 8.82 lbs.

Next we’ll be fishing the Harris Chain (Hickory Point Ramp)May 12th, and I’m expecting to see some big weights brought to the scales. This will be our 5th and final event for 2012. All of our teams are fishing for the opportunity to qualify for the Regional’s, where they’ll be fishing for a new 19’ Skeeter.
