Hello Everyone
We are back into another tournament season, and Guntersville is always a great place to start. Lifepoint Community Church was a great host for our Friday evening meeting. Pastor Matt Brooks message on "Follow Me" was great. Jesus didn't lay out a bunch of rules, He just simply wants us to follow Him. We saw 44 teams represented, and thank God for the 7 rededications to our Lord Jesus. Kenneth, and Nelson - Great job on the food!!!
Saturday morning was cool and calm as our boats blasted off. That changed to a very windy day shortly after that. With steady 30 mile per hour winds, we were limited on our weigh-in setup, but functioned well.
Team Tackle Trap, consisting of Brian Franks, and Cody Vaughn fought the wind and a lot of fish to bring a 27.97 pound sack of bass for 1st place honors anchored by a 7.93 earning 2nd big bass, and 1st Bonus Bucks.
The hard fishing team of Gill Summerlin and Willie Staten's limit just over 24 pounds locked them into 2nd overall and 2nd in Bonus Bucks.
Chris Hollis and Chad Hall "WOWed" the crowd with a lunker bass weighing 8.57 to win Big Bass and solidify a 23.37 limit for 3rd place.
I want to thank everyone for understanding our not doing the white board at this event. Jamie, on our staff suffered a seizure just before weighin, and was rushed to the hospital. He is doing fine, but ask that you keep him in prayer as they figure out what brought this on.
