Lake Quitman Results: Mar 10, 2012
The Texas North Central Legacy kicked off our season Friday at First Baptist Church in Quitman with an awesome dinner of Jerry & Vickie's award winning chili and Dorothy's homemade banana pudding and chocolate pies. If she would enter them in a contest they would win awards too. It was some goooooood groceries and we thank them for everything they have done for us.
Our message was brought by Andrew Pearle FBCQ's youth minister. He read from Acts 17:1-9 and talked about how hard it can be when we are trying to do the right thing and the world is trying to pull us down into its darkness. Andrew said the only way to win this battle is to see and admit our own sins and put our faith in the one and only savior, Jesus. With Him ruling our lives we will have the strength to be different and stand up for what is right. There was one person who rededicated their life! Amen!
The meeting ended with some great door prizes and fellowship and some discussion on what the weather was going to do Saturday morning. We had some possible thunderstorms forecast but guess what, God put His hand in front of them and held off the rain until late in the afternoon when everything was finished up and loaded!
We started off with cool temps in the upper 40's,cloudy skies and light winds. It stayed about the same all day and the fish bit fairly well with all the fish being caught in shallow water.
