We kicked off the second event of the NC Central season at Lake Gaston Baptist Church. Lake Gaston Baptist Church has been a faithful partner of Fishers of Men since it began in 1998.This was their 14th season of hosting our division event.This may be a record for all Fishers of Men divisions.
We want to thank Nancy, Bob and Pastor David for putting all this together. We enjoyed a a great meal of barbeque pork and all the side dishes and dessert. Boy was it good!
Mr. Edgar Behr presented the special music. One of his close friends gave his awesome testimony. Pastor David brought the message based on Peter's denial of Jesus when the pressure was on.We had one person who had questions about the Christian life and six rededications.

Saturday morning started off with rain and cool weather. All 59 boats were to get going after an early breakfast at Holly Grove Marina, our host facility.
Due to all the warm weather, Lake Gaston had been putting out some good catches the last few weeks.
As the boats began to come in, it was obvious that some teams were on the fish. We had a total of 30 five fish limits brought in.The team of Randy Broughman and Jay Allen topped the field with 19.10 lbs.Randy and Jay reported catching their fish on spinnerbaits.
2nd place was taken by long time N.C. Central anglers, Dale Baggett and Jay Knott with 15.64 lbs. Their catch included the big fish of the day at 6.23 lbs. Dale and Jay earned their money with a crankbait.
3rd place Tony Woodard and Scott Smith were close behind with 15.49 lbs. Rounding out the top five were Gene and Adam Richardson in 4th place with 15.29 lbs. Tony Barham and Rick Ohlson came in 5th place with 14.55 lbs.
The team of Tim Goad and Mark Williams haven taken over the points lead after two tournaments.
The BBC winners are the teams of Griffin/Roberson, Fisher/Fisher, Durham/Rich and Bridgers/Liles. These teams, if both members are present will collect their winnings at the April 20,2012 meeting at Blessed Hope Baptist Church.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the next tournament. Our Friday night pre-tournament meeting will be at Blessed Hope Baptist Church 741 Dabney Rd, Henderson, NC 27537.
We will blast off Sat. April 21,2012 at Nutbush Bridge.
