Our second tournament of the year started on Friday, 3/2/12, at Midway Baptist Church with a great meal, fellowship, and an inspirational message by Dr. Alan Holden, who by the way, is Dan Mosley’s new partner. There were 12 teams signed up for the tournament, including the team of David and Jesse Saltsgaver from Indiana South. During the meeting, the Holy Spirit moved two members to renew their commitment to the Lord.
Tournament day found the wind out of the SSW at 25 to 30 MPH, making Lake Harris rough. 1st place and 1st bonus bucks went to the team of Ted Wayne Geiger and Dennis “Zack” Smith. Zack with the help of Shane Hendricks, a substitute for Coach Geiger, as we call him, had a 5 fish limit weighing 16.67 caught on Lake Griffin. Stanley Williams and Robert Webb were not only 2nd place but also 2nd big fish and 2nd bonus bucks. Their fish came from Little Lake Harris. Stan said they only burned about 2 gallons of gas all day to catch the 15.63 lbs and 5.26 big fish. 1st big fish of the tournament, 5.62 lbs, was caught by the team of Jeremy McRae and Keith Cowie.
Hope to see all at the next tournament on Lake Santa Fe. Due to low water at the big lake ramp, we will be using the CR 21B ramp.
