Best Western Inn East Palatka welcomed us for the Friday evening meeting and dinner, and I must say that Pastor Tim Hall and his helpers from Cross Road Community Church, East Palatka, FL, once again served a delicious dinner. The food was absolutely wonderful as was Pastor Hall’s awesome message from Ezekiel 47: 1 – 14. He talked about the water, and fishermen, something we can certainly identify with. Thank You Pastor Tim Hall!
We finished the meeting by giving away some nice prizes: a $25 Gift Certificate to R & J Tackle, Green Cove Springs, FL, two $10 Gift Certificates to Charlie’s Fishin’ Hole, Hollister, FL, and a $25 Gift Certificate to Governors Creek Marine, Green Cove Springs, FL.
For our 4th tournament of the season, we were blessed with a beautiful day that had us dealing with wind on Rodman Reservoir, Kenwood Landing.
Congratulations to Andy Smith and Joe Whiteside for tipping the scales with 10.07 lbs. Their 5-fish limit won them not only the1st Place check, but also the optional 1st Place Bonus Bucks, and 1st Place Big Fish of 3.06 lbs.
Coming in 2nd was the team of Jeremy McRae and Keith Cowie who weighed in 9.48 lbs.
Coming in 3rd was the team of Clint Sheppard and Jason McClellan who brought 5 fish to the scales weighing a total of 9.38lbs.
The team of Wayne Geiger and Zack Smith had 2nd Big Fish of 3.04 lbs.
Our next tournament will be on the St. Johns River, (Black Creek Ramp) on June 2. This will be our 5th and final event for 2012. All of our teams are fishing for the opportunity to qualify for the Regionals, where they’ll be fishing for a new 19’ Skeeter.
