The FOM Arkansas South Division had 17 meet on Friday night at the Assembly of God Church in Dumas, AR where they were fed a wonderful meal of Pulled Pork, Baked Beans and numerous desserts. After dinner they were fed the word by FOM Arkansas South Division director Scott Gilbreth . Scott shared his personal testimony which resulted in 1 new believer and 10 rededications! Praise to God for his hand is always working in peoples lives! Boat numbers were then drawn and the teams were briefed on water conditions and tournament rules.
The 17 teams hit the water at safe light in hopes of finding a big sack of fish. The fish were moving up getting ready to spawn and made for a great tournament for all the teams. Fish catches were abundant as 13 five fish limits hit the scales at the 3:00 weigh-in.
Coming in 1st was the team of Adam and Philip Starks with 5 fish weighing 21.48lbs. They also captured the day’s second big bass with a fish weighing 5.36lbs. The 2nd place team of Mike Burton and Earshel Mauldin weighed in 5 fish for 20.24lbs and took home big fish honors with a 5.71lb kicker. Third place honors went to the team of Dwight Armstrong and Andy Case with a 5 fish limit weighing 18.79lbs.
Our next tournament will be a Lake Chicot in Lake Village, AR. We will again be guaranteeing $1,000 for first place!
