The FOM Arkansas South Division had 14 teams meet on Friday night at the First United Methodist Church in beautiful Lake Village, AR. A wonderful meal of Smoked Chicken was provided by the Lake Village Chamber of Commerce. A special thanks goes out to the Chamber and the Church for their continued support of the Division. Pastor John delivered the message for the evening and the teams were briefed on boat numbers and tournament rules.
High winds and cold front conditions greeted the teams at the safe light take-off. The 14 teams hit the water with great anticipation of large fish as pre-fishing reports were good. Coming in 1st was the team of Adam and Philip Starks with 5 fish weighing 21.69lbs. They also captured the day’s big bass with a fish weighing 5.80lbs. The 2nd place team of Eric Green and Scott Terry weighed in 18.25lbs. Third place honors went to the team of Caleb Lane and Brandon Lyon with a 5 fish limit weighing 16,13lbs. Second place big bass honors went to the team of Stuart and Wesley Jacks with a 5.51lb lunker. Way too go guys!
14 teams weighed in 61 fish that weighed 189.41 lbs. The average fish weighed in was 3.11lbs. This is a true testament to the quality of fish this lake produces year over year.
Our next tournament will be held at the Rising Star Ramp on Pool 3 of the Arkansas River. Teams please invite your friends to fish and help grow the ministry of Fisher’s of Men! We will again be guaranteeing $1,000 for first place!
