After gearing up for an exciting finish to the season, with it going down to the wire to decide the division championship, Mark Twain proved to be quite a surprise. Actually that's an understatement. Only one team caught fish - one keeper! The teams of Garon Smith/Greg Johnson - leading by one point going into this event, and the champions for the past several years - Kevin and Bryan Jackson - who were right on their tail, caught no fish.
Randy Roustio and John Gamblin managed to catch the only keeper, a 1.81 pounder. They were laughing all the way to the bank, winning first place in the team event and the open, and Big Bass in both events.
All I can say is what a way to end the season, and thank God for that one fish!
