A WONDERFUL DAY OUTDOORS WITH GODS LITTLE CHILDREN
Fishers of Men, Alabama South Legacy held their first tournament of 2012 on April 21, 2012 in Camden, AL at Ellis Landing. The Friday night meeting was hosted by Camden United Methodist Church again this year. We are very grateful for their willingness to hosts us again this year. For our meal this year they fed us fried chicken, green beans and a potatoe casserole, with rolls and for desert they had strawberry shortcake. We had a total of 49 present for the meal and meeting and I donít think anyone went home hungry or left any leftovers to be dealt with. Thank you so much for the wonderful meal and hospitality. Brother Lowell Thomas the new pastor there brought our message. He spoke to us from John and told us about when Jesus was asking the different disciples to follow him. As they did they told others they had found the Christ and they too followed. We too are to tell others and follow our lords direction so that others see him in us and they will have the desire to come to know him as their Lord and Saviour. Thank you Brother Lowell. We did not have any first time decisions, but had 4 rededications. PRAISE GOD. Of the 15 boats that fished on Saturday 11 were represented at the meeting on Friday night. All week they had talked on the weather channel about the rain that was coming in, but as the week wound down on Friday they were saying it would come in around 11:00AM. At 4:15AM when we left the motel there were nothing but stars in the sky. As day broke the fog tried to come in, but stopped. The boats blasted off around 6:00AM and the fog did come in a little, but the sun came out and the fog lifted. The clouds rolled in like it was going to rain and it cooled off, but the rain never showed. Congratulations to the team of Danny and Gage Parker. They weighed in 5 fish that weighed 10.68 Lbs. and had the first big fish that weighed 3.59 Lbs. They caught their fish on top water, shakey heads and crankbaits. The big fish came on a shakey head. Congratulations to the team of Leon and Trey Wade. They weighed in 5 fish that weighed 9.81 Lbs. to take second place. They caught their fish on swim jigs and spinner baits. Congratulations to the team of Billy and Sutton Black. They weighed in 5 fish that weighed 9.47 to take third place and had the second big fish that weighed 3.29 Lbs. They caught their fish on swim jigs and spinner baits also and the big fish came on a swim jig. Congratulations to the team of Brian and Connor Moye.
