Friday night was a great turnout for our pre-tournament meeting. With attendance toping 40, we filled up on fried catfish and fried shrimp! Many saying that this was the best dinner yet. Thanks to Higher Ground Church in Morgan City and Pastor Ronnie for allowing us the use of their church. We were able to attain 25 boats for the tournament!
Thanks for the continued growth in south Louisiana anglers.
Quintin Brakebill gave a message from Proverbs 3:1-7 encouraging to not forget the commandments that God has given and to write them on the walls of your heart. Through not forgetting we can become more Christ-like.
Blast-off went smooth under clear skies and no wind, it was shaping up to be a beautiful day.
The weather held up throughout the day, but the blue bird skies proved to be a challenge for some. It did not seem to affect Chris Cordell or Byron Keith, they brought in the winning catch of 5 fish weighing 13.86 lbs.! Also, they had 1st place Bonus Bucks, way to go Chris and Byron a well deserved win.
Second place goes to Craig Walker and Brent Bonadona. They topped the scales with 5 fish weighing in at 13.58 lbs. and second place Bonus Bucks. Great way to end the day, thanks Brent and Craig.
Third place belongs to Warrren Rome and Joe Hocke. They had a limit that brought the scales to 12.23 lbs. And second place Big Fish at 3.99. Another great showing Joe and Warren, keep up the pace!
Fourth place is the team of Jim Bridges and George Valentine. They had 5 fish that squeezed the scales for 10.74 lbs. and took home 3rd place Bonus Bucks. Proving that Bonus Bucks do pay off.
Fifth place belongs to Winston Michel and Sandy Gaudet. They had 5 fish that brought in 10.57 lbs. Congratulations Winston and Sandy!
Our first place Big Fish goes to Jimmy and Tammy Charbonnet. It was a beautiful fish that weighed 4.38 lbs.
We all want to know who caught the big one..Jimmy or Tammy?? Way to go team Charbonnet.
