Delaware Results: May 26, 2012
The second Ohio Legacy event held at Delaware Lake is complete.
Thanks to Pastor Steve Whitaker for opening the doors of his church and providing us with food for the body and the soul at our Friday night meeting.
Saturday morning brought more warm weather with the temperatures heading towards the nineties. The heat may have caused stress to those hunting the fish but the fish did not seem to mind and were willing to bite when found. Twelve teams brought in a five fish limit and all seventeen teams weighed in fish.
John Dawson and his young son Ian brought in the largest five fish limit weighing 9.05# and also the second big bass which weighed 2.67#. The father daughter team of Rodney and Savanna Spencer had the big bass of the tournament weighing 3.01#, and a five fish limit weighing 8.99# which was good for second. Brock Spencer and his Uncle Mike Shaffer, who was a sub for Brock’s dad, took third place with five bass weighing 8.59#. Fourth place went to Don Jones and Clay Wisner with 8.34# and fifth place went to Andy Moser and Alex Newland who crossed the scales with 8.27#.
Thanks to all for doing did a great job keeping the fish alive with all the fish being returned to the lake to do battle again.
