Our third event for the season was held at Shenango Lake
Our Friday night meeting was held at the Grace Chapel Church in Hermitage Pa. Pastor Dominick opened the doors of the church and had a full spread of great summertime food for the 60 people representing 33 teams.
The message for the night was brought to us by church member Aaron Lego, who reminded us of the story in the bible where the professional fisherman of the day, had a rough night of fishing. Jesus came to them and told them to give it another try, and gave some tips on where to lower their nets. After listening to Jesus, they took his advice and had a huge catch. Aaron reminded us that we all have things we are good at, things we feel we have all figured out, yet we still need to allow Christ into our lives to guide and direct us. As a result of doing so, our lives can be fuller and filled with blessings beyond our dreams and abilities.
Thanks Aaron for sharing. As a result, we had three people accept Christ as their Lord and Savior and 6 others rededicate themselves to follow Him in all areas of their lives.
The next morning, all 33 teams were on their way at safe light on the hunt for limits of smallmouth and largemouth. The weather was mostly overcast most of the day, with the sun peaking out at times, with temperatures in the low 80’s.
As the scales came to a close, it was the new team of Worona and Bayer with an impressive bag weighing 16.95 lbs taking first place. Anchoring their catch was the Big Bass of the day at 4.81 lbs. Second place went to Palace and Grystar with 15.93 lbs. Chris Lanager and Jamie Ferdarko grabbed third place with 13.33 lbs. Mark and Jacob Rice took the 4th place spot with 13.21 lbs. The team of Reese and Reese locked in 5th place with 12.98 lbs and rounding out the top six was Tom Belinda and Dan Peterman with 12.63 lbs.
Great job to all. Big thanks to Pastor Dominick, Aaron Lego and Mark from Grace Chapel for an awesome dinner. Big thanks to Randy Brooks for all his help again with everything. Thanks to John Moore and Tim Decker for helping at the registration table as well.
