Kinzua Dam Results: Aug 18, 2012
The Pennsylvania Division’s 4th stop for the year took place at the beautiful Kinzua Dam, in northern Pa. Our Friday night meeting was held once again at our friends at the Grace United Methodist Church in downtown Warren. Pastor Kevin and his gang provided another over the top meal for our teams. There were 71 people representing 34 teams present at the meeting.
Pastor Kevin was also our guest speaker for the night. Dressed in his Pittsburgh Steelers Chef attire, presented us with another enlightening message. Five people made the decision to recommit their lives to follow Christ in all areas.
The next morning got underway at Elijah launch. Teams were on their way by approx 6:30. Once the fog burnt off, the day ended up being almost perfect. Highs in the low 80’s.
Teams started coming into the scales just before 3pm. It was apparent that the small mouth were eating today. As 127 small mouth were brought to the scales and released alive.
Taking top honors for the day was the team of Chris Lanager and Jamie Ferdarko with a sack weighing 10.81 lbs. 2nd place went to the team of Joe Ditch and Don Hunt with 10.36 lbs….with a 3.75lb lunker earning them extra $$$ for top lunker for the day. 3rd place went to the team of Rick Ryver and Dave Garbrick with 10.19 lbs. Ryan Graham and Jeremy Lake took 4th place honors with 10.02 lbs. Brothers Mark and Jacob Rice grabbed 5th place and extended their points lead going into the last event with 9.51 lbs. 6th place goes to the team of Nick Kimak and Ron Urbansky with 8.97 lbs.
