Bull Shoals Lake Results: May 12, 2012
Our Friday night meeting was hosted by First Baptist Church of Bull Shoals. We are grateful to Bro. Jerry Backus and the members of First Baptist for hosting our meeting. Once again they proved to be a great host! The meal was excellent. Bro. Doug Wintle spoke about seeing your vocation as a calling from God.
Most teams had a good day prefishing on Friday. Many reported catching quality fish and in good numbers. The question in everyone's mind is will they be there tomorrow. The weather report said to expect scattered showers all day on Saturday. It was not the case. We started out with clouds and a few sprinkles and by mid morning the sun was shinning bright. The anglers had to adjust to the weather change in order to bring in a winning sack.
Saturday proved to be a good day on Bull Shoals. [How can you have a bad day on Bull Shoals?] Every team weighed fish which is always a good thing! Most teams made the adjustment for the weather & brought in good sacks of 5 fish. It all boiled down to who got on the best fish. That team was Tobin Baker and Kevin Riney. This duo weighed in 5 fish for a total of 17.89 lbs. They also brought in big bass weighing 5.07 lbs. This win bumped Baker & Riney to 1st place in the division overall standings. 2nd place went to Mike Crump & Jeff Cooper with 5 fish weighing 12.14 lbs. Victor Holt and Jim Grady sowed up 3rd place with 5 fish that weighed 11.99 lbs. They also got 2nd big bass with a largemouth that weighed 3.16.
