Cheat Lake Results: May 26, 2012
BURNSIDE & BURNSIDE CLAIM CHEAT LAKE
The West Virginia North Division of the Fishers of Men held their 2nd tournament of the season at Cheat Lake near Morgantown, WV. With the temperature at 90 degrees and the water temp at 75, fishing conditions were describe as tough with several fish being caught, but could not pass the 12" mark to be a keeper.
The weekend started with the Friday night pre-tournament dinner meeting being held at the Cooper Rocks Trout Pond Park. A picnic style meal was served to the 31 people who attended. The message shared during the inspirational part of the meeting was "Why Do Bad Things happen to Good People."
The team of M. Burnside & R. Burnside claimed the victory with a 5 fish limit weighing 7.49 Lb and 2nd Big Bass at 2.24 lb. J. Swesey & R. Feits placed second with a limit of fish weighing in at 7.33 & the 1st big at 2.40. Ray & Deborah Grimes took 3rd place with a limit weighing in at 7.23lb. Placing 4th with a weight of 6.81 for 5 fish was J. Lloyd & M. Frazee.
