Hartwell Results: Jun 30, 2012
We have completed our 2012 season with the 5th TEAM event for SC Upstate on Hartwell.
MAN.... WAS IT HOT!!!! It proved to be a scorcher on Saturday with the temperature rising to 105 degrees.
We want to first thank East Clemson Baptist Church for one of our BEST meals this season. Thank you Sammy Freeman and Joshua Brooks for helping to get supplies for you and our other anglers. A special hats off to my BROTHER Tom Cloer for all of your support... from allowing me to take over Dylan's room for a week to the up front work in making this last event of 2012 a very special one for me, personally.
Let me offer up this challenge to all of you... remember the next time you pick up a tool, ANY TOOL, to stop and consider what God's purpose is for you. You may think of a seemingly unimportant thing, or it may be a biggy in your life. Reguardless of what it may be, remember that God has called YOU to do a specific thing. Fathers, remember the POWER that you have with your words within your family. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide your path, as you live out your faith in different aspects of your life.
Saturday proved to be an interesting finish in our points race as David Vaughn and Mark Vaughn (sub for Dan Morrow) weighed in a 16.02 lb sack at 11am that drove them to not only a win for this event, but the points championship for SC Upstate. They now have their ticket to the 2013 FOM National Championship. They also had the Big Fish for the day... a 4.51 lb Largemouth. Good job guys!!!
2nd Place went to Charlie Coats and Kyle Penland with 11.80 lbs.
3rd Place was Chris Rhodes and Reggie Luper with 10.98 lbs.
