LEGACY- Hartwell Results: Jun 23, 2012
We had our 2nd and Last Legacy event on Hartwell June 23rd.
We had a field of 13 boats, with junior team members ranging from age 4 to 18. Thank you all for coming out and participating in the Legacy.
What a great evening we had at Canon Memorial Baptist church in Central, SC. They had a spread that included hamburgers, slaw, special baked beans, and home grown potato salad. Man was it good!!!! Thank ALL of the fine folks at Canon for being such a great host!! (by the way, those burgers hit the spot after the tournament Sat.)
Our guest speaker was Tony Eubanks. He very calmly (yeah right) reminded us that we needed to stay FOCUSED in life, no matter what happens. The key in this FOCUS is to center our attention on a personal relationship with Christ. Have you trusted Christ as your savior yet? Do you want to?
Thank you Tony, for your energy and enthusiastic way of clearly presenting the Gospel of Christ. There was at least one person that made a renewed comittment to Christ as result of the working of the Holy Spirit through the message.
We had some great weather at blast off on Saturday, which later turned into a rather hot and busy day on the lake. Every team caught something....
Our Junior Big Fish winner was Kinley Powell with a brute of a spot that weighed in at 3.55 lbs.
15.24 lbs won the event, weighed in by John and Garrett Axsom. They also had the big fish of the day... 4.43 lbs. Top water was the ticket.
Chris and Kinley Powell came in 2nd with 12.77 lbs. Top water with some plastic later in the day.
David and Katie Barnes tipped the scales to 11.61 lbs, with 2nd big fish at 4.27 lbs (caught on Lil John)
Greg and Brody Kellum had 10.30 lbs which pulled them to 4th place. Brody is only 4 yrs old! How COOL is that!
