Another winner at Clinton Lake:
The Friday Night pre-tournament meeting was held once again at the First Baptist Church in Farmer City. This wonderful church family has adopted us as one of their own and have committed to FOM for the long hall. We will definately be back. Thank you so much for all your hospitality.
J.P. Jones Pastor of the First Christian Church in Champaign (Our Home Church) gave us the message and it was great to hear about how the enemy whispers in our ear to give up when we are struggling. This makes it very hard to keep going, but the bible says to press on toward the goal to win the prize. God will be with us the entire race.
Saturday was a beautiful day starting out in the low 60's and ending up being quite breezy and warm in lower 90's. Only seven teams competed in our last tournament of the 2012 season with all teams bringing in fish. Clinton has produced some of the best weights in many, many years with every tournament being spectacular. Today would be no exception with the winning weight being 18.45 lbs caught by Jim Ferrell and Bryan Williams earning them a check for $1000. Great job Guys! Second Place was the team of Travis Boley and John McKinney with five bass weighing 12.61 lbs. With their catch it solidified them as the 2012 Points champions for the Central Illinois Division and earning them a check for $810.00, Custom Embroided Jackets, and Plaques from the National Office. Congratulations Travis and John for a great year.
Clint Seaman and Brent Hauser won two B&R Outlaw Rods for one fish weighing 1.65 lbs.
Thanks to all of our anglers and sponsors for a great season. We hope to return once again to Clinton Lake next season with a whole new look.
Please pray for our divsion and the entire organization as we will be undergoing a renovation. Pray also for the leadership conference Sept 7th and 8th as we gather together to sharpen each other and share ideas for the future.
