The Friday night Pre-Tournament meeting was held at
BAUM CHEVROLET in Clinton where we were treated to a delicious meal. Thanks to Scott Baum for providing the meeting place and the meal from Ted's Garage.

Saturday morning was cool and breezy but that wasn't the temperature of the bite as it was red hot once again. Clinton Lake has proven itself to be one of the best lakes in the state and today it was another reminder of that fact. All twenty two teams that competed brought limits of five bass to the scales. The team of Tim Potts and Justin Williams weighed in the largest limit weighing 19.26 pounds and giving them the victory, and earning a check for $1000. Second place was the team of Kent Oakley and Brian Plank with a limit weighing 17.76 pounds and earning them $600. Third place was the team of Travis Boley and John McKinney with 16.23 pounds and earning them $500. Fourth place was the team of Jon Hodge and John Warmbir with 16.20 pounds and earning them $300. Fifth place and the final payout position was the team of Clay Reeves and Dave Huston weighing in 16.07 pounds and earning a check for $200. Big Bass of the tournament was the team of Clint Seaman and Steve Riddle with a largemouth weighing 5.20 pounds and they took home $200.

This was the fifteenth year the Christy Massey Memorial tournament has been held and we look forward to our continued support of this great charity.

Our next event is June 23rd at Clinton Lake. If you plan on attending make sure you get your entry fees in and post marked no later than Friday June 15th to avoid the $25 late fee. If you have any questions contact the Director carl Parks at 217-621-1386 or carlparksy@aol.com.
