The FOM Lake Fork Division met at First Baptist Church in Quitman on Friday night. Everyone was served a lasagna dinner by Dee McIntyre and Roy and Betty Oney. Also upon arrival they were given door prizes provided by Macatack Lures. We had 5 teams for this weeks tournament.
After the dinner Mac McIntyre, division director, gave his testimony about change, about how God changed his heart after a tragic accident in the woods as a timber faller. He was severely injured by a tree hitting him in the head and causing him to be in the ICU with multiple broken bones including all his ribs off his spine. He used the scripture of Matthew 12:33-37.
After his testimony they concluded with drawings for prizes. They selected their launch order and Mac McIntyre gave the benediction.
We were blessed with good weather. It was a little breezy and overcast for some of the morning.
Congratulation to Larry Barnes and Pastor James Nickell on their weigh in of 7.03 lbs with their 5 fish. Winning first place for this month’s tournament. They mainly threw top water baits and caught them in early morning.
2nd place went to Rich Dalbey and David Gillhum. They weighed with their 5 fish at 6.97lbs. They too through mainly top water baits and caught them in the early morning. They struggled for the rest of the day with catching more fish.
3rd place went to David and Mason Maeker. They weighed in with their 2 fish at 3.4lbs. They too caught their fish using top water baits and in the early morning.
Our Big Fish winner goes to Wes Hughes and Sperry Johnson with 2.2lbs.
