Lake Reno Results: Jul 14, 2012
We had another great meeting and tournament on Lake Reno this weekend. At the Friday night meeting, 2 people rededicated themselves to Christ, and 2 asked for continuing help and information regarding their faith.
On tournament day, it was hot and hot(about 96 degrees) with little wind. One team even reported a swimmimg break to cool off. Mark Shimmel and Dustin Ziesemer pulled out their first win in our division with a very good bag of 17.68 and a big vish of 4.25. Durand and Dylan Peterson followed their win at Minnewaska last month with a very close second at Reno. They boated a 5 fish bag of 17.58 (just .1 out of the lead) which included the big fish of the day at 4.95. A true "big fish" Mike Frisch and Tanner Arndt finished in 3rd place with a 14.83 weight and Doug and Rachel Kriese were 4th with a catch of 14.75. Overall a good tournout with 14 boats and a total of 65 fish weighed with an average of 2.76 pounds. We had about 45 people at the Friday night meeting with a few of our normal teams deciding to fish another division event on the same dates, but we did have about 30 people stay for the picnic afterward and the fellowship in this group continues to grow. Our next event will be on Aug 10/11 with the meeting on Friday night and the tournament on Lake Ida on Saturday. We look for a good tournaout at that tournament approaching 20 teams if all goes well. Thanks to all that volunteer to help with these tournaments and to all that participate. God Bless -- See you on the water.
